Samsung rolls out One UI 7 for Galaxy S21 series including S21 FE with cool upgrades

Samsung Galaxy S21 Series

Samsung is bringing its One UI 7 update to the Galaxy S21 Plus in India and the Galaxy S21 FE (Exynos model) in Vietnam, powered by Android 15. The S21 Plus gets build version G996BXXUEHYD5, while the S21 FE has G990EXXUDGYD4, packed with features to make your phone more fun and secure.

This update gives your phone a fresh style, with an easy-to-use app drawer that scrolls vertically and a sleek, pill-shaped status bar. You’ll also find handy Galaxy AI tools like Writing Assist and Audio Eraser, though these depend on your device and region. Expect smoother task switching, customizable widgets, and notifications that pop up in real time. For safety, there’s extra protection like biometric checks when you’re in unfamiliar spots.

Samsung’s promise of seven years of updates for phones launched after 2021 shows they’re serious about keeping devices up to date. That said, a hiccup in the rollout led to an apology from Samsung in April 2025, hinting at some behind-the-scenes challenges. Vietnam’s S21 series got the update on April 24, 2025, as planned, but India’s rollout hit in May, and devices like the A-series might not see it until June.

On X, users are buzzing with excitement but also asking when phones like the S24 FE or A54 will get One UI 7. Samsung’s gradual, region-by-region approach keeps fans waiting, but the new features are worth it.
