New AI features and software update for Galaxy phones

Samsung Galaxy S23 FE

Samsung Galaxy users are in for a treat with exciting updates rolling out. Google is bringing a fresh look to its Gemini app, featuring a stylish Material You design for its widget. This widget, available in sizes from 1×1 to 5×3, offers quick access to features like camera, voice modes, and image attachments.

Plus, the Gemini app now includes built-in AI image editing, letting users tweak photos by changing backgrounds, swapping objects, or adding new elements with simple text prompts. This update is gradually reaching Galaxy and other Android devices via the Google Play Store, with most users expected to get it within a week.

Meanwhile, Samsung is expanding its One UI 7 update, based on Android 15, to more Galaxy S23 FE devices. Already available in South Korea, the update is now hitting Europe and the U.S., with a wider global rollout planned soon. One UI 7 brings a revamped design with smoother animations, new home and lock screen widgets, and better app icons.

It also includes the April 2025 security patch for enhanced protection. Galaxy S23 FE users can check for the update in the Settings app under Software Update. These updates make Galaxy phones more user-friendly and powerful, blending Google’s AI advancements with Samsung’s polished software. Keep an eye on your device for these exciting changes.
