No more software updates for Galaxy A52

Samsung

Samsung has stopped providing software updates for the Galaxy A52, A52 5G, and A52s, marking the end of their support cycle. These popular mid-range phones, launched in 2021, received three major Android updates, reaching Android 14 with One UI 6.1. This fulfills Samsung’s promise of three years of major operating system upgrades for these devices.

The Galaxy A52 series also got four years of security patches, with the final one being the March 2025 update. In some cases, Samsung might release an extra security fix if a critical issue arises, but regular updates are no longer expected. For users, this means the phones will still work but won’t get new features or routine security improvements.

If you own a Galaxy A52, you might consider upgrading to a newer model, like the Galaxy A55, which offers better performance, improved cameras, and longer software support. Samsung’s newer devices often come with up to four years of major updates and five years of security patches, ensuring they stay current for longer.

For now, Galaxy A52 users can keep using their phones, but without updates, it’s wise to be cautious about security risks. If the phone’s battery or performance feels lacking, a replacement or upgrade might be the best move. Check Samsung’s website for deals on newer models to stay up to date.
