Samsung to decrease the battery capacity of Galaxy Z Fold 3

We are still months away from the launching of the next generation folding smartphones of Samsung. At the same time, the record of leaks and early information is growing day by day.

Recently, we’ve witnessed that the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 3 may have a slightly decreased outer display when compared to the Galaxy Z Fold 2.And now a piece of new information coming from South Korea suggests that the battery capacity of the Galaxy Z Fold 3 is reduced than its predecessor.

Meanwhile, it looks like the company is all set to deliver a somewhat smaller battery to bring upgrades to the thickness, size, and weight of the Fold 3, reports TheElec.

Furthermore, the reduction in battery capacity is defined as a result of reflecting changes in display size and portability. The report revealed that Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 3 will be packed with a 4380mAh battery while the Galaxy Z Fold 2 comes with a nearly 3% higher 4500mAh battery.

Aside from this, Samsung is also expected to introduce the Galaxy Z Flip 2 alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and the battery supplier is Samsung SDI.

Unlike the Galaxy S and Galaxy Note series, the company does not use batteries other than Samsung SDI for foldable phones. However, the main display size of the Galaxy Z Fold 3 is likely to reduce to 7.5″ while the cover display is expected to be 6.2″.

Though it is wider than the first-gen Galaxy Fold, buy the size of this future foldable phone is assumed to be unchanged alongside zero-bezel as well as no upper and lower edges. As of now, we don’t have any authentic information regarding the specs and design of the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 2.

In the meantime, these phones are expected to be launched in the first half of this year. Moreover, we can also expect that these handsets could feature futuristic technologies such as UPC, S Pen support, LTPO display, and more.
