Samsung Display launched a new OLED dedicated to high-definition game content

A few days ago, Samsung Display officially declared the launch of a new OLED dedicated to high-definition game content. In addition to the notebook computer market, it will also actively enter the smartphone market.

In 2019, Samsung Display’s OLED products entered the notebook computer market, providing 15.6-inch UHD OLED panels for Razer Blade 15 and other multinational PC manufacturers’ gaming laptops.

In 2020, Samsung Display’s 13.3-inch FHD OLED panel is mounted on the Razer Blade Stealth 13. On March 10, 2021, Asustek released the ROG 5 gaming smartphone that is equipped with a 6.78-inch OLED display produced by Samsung Display.

This screen supports a refresh rate above 120Hz and is optimized for game content with fast screen switching. Because of its seamless and natural image quality, it has obtained SGS’s Seamless Display certification.

SGS conducted a ‘smear length’ test on this screen, and the results showed that when a high-speed drive video is running on this screen, the dynamic image response time is less than 11 milliseconds.

Samsung Display stated that for players who like to play games for a long time, it will reduce the proportion of harmful blue light to less than 6.5%, and has obtained SGS’s Eye Care certification.
