One UI 8 brings smooth coloros-like vibes

Samsung’s next big software update, One UI 8, is shaping up to transform the Galaxy experience with animations that feel remarkably close to Oppo’s slick ColorOS. This sneak peek into the update reveals Samsung’s push to deliver a smoother, more engaging interface for its users, drawing inspiration from one of Android’s smoothest systems.
A leaked clip from a reliable source highlights app-opening transitions in One UI 8 alongside ColorOS 15. The movements are nearly identical—fluid, natural, and easy on the eyes, making phone navigation feel seamless. This suggests Samsung is borrowing some of ColorOS’s magic to elevate its software game.
Running on Android 16, One UI 8 is still in its early, less stable phase, while ColorOS 15, based on Android 15, is already refined. Yet, the shared animation style shows Samsung’s ambition to compete with the best, aiming for a polished and intuitive user experience.
The Galaxy S25 lineup, unveiled in January 2025, is expected to kick off One UI 8’s beta testing around mid-2025, possibly May or June. Devices like the Galaxy S24 and Z Flip6 could follow. The full, stable release is likely to land by July or August 2025, bringing these delightful animations to a wider range of Galaxy phones.
Samsung’s focus on refining its software to match its top-tier hardware signals a promising future, with One UI 8 set to make everyday interactions on Galaxy devices more enjoyable.
