Samsung’s One UI 8 beta and One UI 8 Watch: What’s coming soon

Samsung One UI 8

Samsung is working on its next big software update, One UI 8, based on Android 16, and early signs are exciting. A test version for the Galaxy S25 Ultra has appeared, hinting at a beta release around June 2025. This is faster than the delayed One UI 7 rollout, which frustrated some users.

The beta will likely start with the Galaxy S25 series, Z Flip 6, and Z Fold 6, with a full launch expected by October 2025. One UI 8 promises smoother performance, a refreshed Secure Folder, and new AI features to make your phone smarter and easier to use.

Alongside this, Samsung is developing One UI 8 Watch for its smartwatches, built on Wear OS 6. Leaks suggest it will include app shortcuts for quick access to your favorite apps, plus a new “App Library” for better organization. The update will also bring fresh sounds, an updated “Over the Horizon” ringtone, and Gemini AI integration for smarter watch features. The Galaxy Watch 8 series might launch with this software in July 2025, with a beta program possibly starting in June.

Samsung’s early testing shows they’re eager to deliver these updates sooner, especially after One UI 7’s slow start. If you’re a Galaxy fan, keep an eye on June for beta access through the Samsung Members app. These updates aim to make your phone and watch smoother, smarter, and more fun to use.
