It is reported that the Spatium M480 Play is the company’s first compatible SSD, with capacities ranging from 500GB to 4TB, and a peak transfer speed of 7000 MB/s. However, this isn’t just for PlayStation 5 users, MSI also highlights that the Spatium M480 Play is also great for PC gamers and content creators.

Moreover, SPATIUM M480 PCIe 4.0 NVMe M.2 PLAY is built with high-quality, high-density 3D NAND flash memory, with write speeds of up to 6800 MB/s, efficient performance through DRAM cache and SLC cache technology, and support for comprehensive data error correction features, including LPDC ECC and E2E data protection.

Furthermore, Sony PlayStation 5 has very high requirements for SSD specifications. It must support PCIe 4.0 x4, with a capacity between 250GB and 4TB, and a read speed of at least 5500 MB/s.

In addition, the PS5 SSD not only requires the installation of a radiator but also has strict requirements on the size. For example, the length of the radiator is up to 110mm, the width does not exceed 25mm, and the thickness is up to 11.25mm.
