Samsung releasaed 2022 sound bar series in South Korea

Samsung showed off its 2022 line of smart TVs and soundbars at CES earlier this year. Now, the company has launched its 2022 line of soundbars in its home country of South Korea.

The new products currently include the flagship soundbar HW-Q990B and the slim soundbar HW-S800B, and Samsung has also promised to launch more than 13 new products in the first half of this year.

Samsung HW-Q990B

The Samsung HW-Q990B is an 11.1.4 channel speaker with Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, Q-Symphony, and a wireless subwoofer. It can connect to 2022 Samsung Smart TVs via Wi-Fi for wireless Dolby Atmos.

Based on Q-Symphony, this 16-channel soundbar can be used with up to 6 TV speakers to provide 22-channel audio. It also features Space Fit Sound+ (automatic audio calibration based on room size) and Auto EQ.

Moreover, it has made with metal and other high-quality materials, the Samsung HW-Q990B also supports AirPlay 2, built-in Chromecast, Spotify Connect, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth with SBC codec, Tap Sound, and Adaptive Sound, Game Mode Pro, Active Voice Amplifier, Hi-Res Audio, and remote control.

In terms of interfaces, the speaker has two HDMI 2.0 input interfaces, one HDMI 2.0 output interface, and an optical input interface, and the price is 1,890,000 won.

Samsung HW-S800B

The Samsung HW-S800B is a very slim soundbar, measuring 38mm tall and 40mm thick, and is available in black and white, as well as versions covered in brown and teak color housings, suitable for TVs such as The Frame. 

This is a 3.1.2-channel soundbar that supports wireless Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, Q-Symphony, and is priced at 899,000 won. The speaker also features Wi-Fi, AirPlay 2, Chromecast, Alexa, Bluetooth (with SBC codec), Tap Sound, Adaptive Sound, Game Mode Pro, Space Fit Sound, and Active Voice Amplifier.

Furthermore, it also has a remote control, wireless TV connection, and Hi-Res Audio. In terms of interfaces, the speaker has an HDMI input interface with ARC and an HDMI output interface.
