Intel Core i7-1195G7 running score is slightly lower than Core i7-1185G7

Recently, another unreleased Intel processor running score was leaked, this time a mobile processor named Core i7-1195G7. This time the results were released on Puget System, a company famous for building workstation computers and providing running scores for practical applications. Before, we also used their PugetBench for PS and LR tests.

According to Puget System’s running score page, this Core i7-1195G7 is a 4-core processor using Willow Cove architecture, equipped with Intel’s own Xe-LP core display, and the EU is about 80 or 96. In terms of frequency, this Core i7-1195G7 is only 2.9GHz, which is 0.1GHz lower than the current i7-1185G7.

And this also makes the Core i7-1195G7’s running score slightly lower than the current Core i7-1185G7. The former has a total score of 859 points, an active score of 94, and a passive score of 77.8, while the latter has a score of 868, with an active score of 93.4 and a passive score of 80.2. This time the running score was obtained in the test against LR Classic 0.92 and 10.2 with 16GB of 4266MHz memory.

It is not known whether Intel intends to come up with a higher frequency and more functional Tiger Lake Refresh, or this Core i7-1195G7 is just to fill the gap in the current product line.

From the perspective of the manufacturer, after Intel has sold millions of Tiger Lake processors, it should also know how to improve the yield rate and reduce performance differences between processors of the same model. This means that Intel should be able to launch a higher frequency Tiger Lake processor.

In addition, Intel also has several Tiger Lake processors in the 11th generation processor roadmap, but they have not been released. Core i7-1195G7 may be one of them. There is also a possibility that Core i7-1195G7 is a non-roadmap OEM semi-custom product specially prepared by Intel for some customers.
