Samsung’s One UI 8 unveils exciting Galaxy upgrades

Samsung is busy crafting One UI 8 while pushing One UI 7 to Galaxy smartphones and tablets. Built on Android 16, this upcoming update promises a handful of fresh features to make your device experience smoother and more enjoyable.
A standout change is the revamped Samsung DeX, which transforms your phone or tablet into a desktop-like interface. In One UI 8, DeX sports a cleaner design with an improved app drawer. Instead of apps taking over the entire screen, they now pop up in a compact window, making it simpler to find what you need. The core DeX vibe, though, stays true to its roots.
Galaxy Buds fans are in for a treat too. One UI 8 extends advanced controls to older Galaxy Buds models, similar to those on the Galaxy Buds 3 and Buds 3 Pro. By long-pressing the volume bar in the quick settings, you can adjust features like noise cancellation or ambient sound directly from a handy menu.
The update also enhances RAM Plus, allowing your device to tap into extra virtual memory for snappier performance. Whispers of better multitasking, customizable lock screen widgets, and slight Galaxy AI tweaks are also floating around.
Samsung may kick off a One UI 8 beta program as early as next month, giving users a chance to try these features before the official release. With these updates, Samsung is set to make Galaxy devices more intuitive and powerful. Keep an eye out for more news as One UI 8 approaches!
