Google has brought a set of new filters termed ‘Real Tone’ in Google Photos. The ideology that lies for the fresh filters is to reflect the true shade of the skin. The US manufacturer has officially announced the new rollout on its Twitter handle.
Back in time, Google initially introduced the filters as Monk Skin Tone scale for the Pixel 6 series. At that time, the company was working on the optical elements of the respective device to capture the images with more accurate skin tones.

Later, the US tech maker announced at the I/O 2022 event that it will push off the Monk Skin Tone scale to the Google Photos as ‘Real Tone’ filters. Thus, the new filters will help in identifying the real shades of the skin more inclusively. At present, the bundle of fresh filters is rolling out to Android, iOS, and web users.
REAL TONE FILTERS
As the feature becomes active, users will find several new options in the ‘Filters’ tab. For instance, Playa, Isla, Honey, and Desert. Once you click on any of these new filters, you will find a tagline mentioned as ‘Made with Real Tone’. Further, every filter has some adjustments to bring more enhancement to the image manually.
