Tesla supercharge network hopes to earn 30% gross profit margin

He emphasized that Tesla just wanted to make a small return rather than asking for a huge price, and expressed that he hoped to fully consider the charging service price of supercharging stations.

Moreover, the newest energy vehicle is the charging policy, but the electricity price is not static. Not long ago, Xiaopeng Motors announced that the peak charging price of its self-operated charging piles has risen to 1.92 yuan / kWh, and Tesla has previously raised prices for its exclusive charging stations, and public charging piles such as Xindiantu and Tedian. The latest data from the Tesla China charging team shows that in February 2022, 3 new supercharging stations and 18 supercharging piles have been added, and they have been launched in 3 cities/counties across the country.

Tesla said that as of now, Tesla has built and opened more than 1,100 supercharging stations and more than 8,400 supercharging piles in mainland China, with more than 700 destination charging stations and more than 1,800 destination charging stations. Ground charging piles, cover more than 360 cities and regions.

In addition, Tesla also announced the list of cities expected to add supercharging stations in March, including Beijing, Chongqing, Shanghai, Tianjin, Guiyang, Luohe, Wuhan, Jishou, Yuncheng, Xi’an, Guangzhou, Foshan, Jieyang, Hangzhou, Wenzhou, Tiantai, Jinan, Jining, Chengdu, Meishan, Kunming, Yizheng, Dongtai, Yangzhou.

According to previous information, Tesla’s supercharging network covers 100% of all provincial capitals and municipalities in mainland China and has a full coverage of prefecture-level cities in Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Hebei, Shandong, Guangdong, and Guizhou.
