Sony’s ‘GT Racing 7’ game’s server stopped for more than 30 hours 

Sony’s first-party racing masterpiece “GT Racing 7” is one of the biggest PS4 and PS5 games so far this year, but it has been controversial recently. Now developer Polyphony Digital has taken more than 24 hours to fix the issue after a maintenance delay and apologize for the incident. With the 1.08 version update of the game, the re-launch bug has been fixed, and the official staff also explained to the players the reason for the long-term suspension.

Kazunori Yamauchi, game designer and CEO of Polyphony Digital, explained: “Just before the 1.07 update was released, we discovered an issue where in some cases the game would not launch properly on the PS4 and PS5 versions, which is a rare issue that was not detected during developer hardware testing or QA prior to release.”

“In order to prioritize the safety of our users’ data, we have decided to interrupt the release of the 1.07 update with a correction update in 1.08. This is the reason for such a long delay, and for this belated announcement, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to everyone’s apology”.

In addition to this, he also talked about the controversial issue of expensive in-app purchases, saying: “In GT7, I want users to enjoy a lot of cars and races even without microtransactions”, which will eventually be resolved and will More to come at some point in the future.

Moreover, “GT Racing 7” has landed on the PS4 and PS5 platforms on March 4 this year.
