Employee Donation and Volunteer Program grew nearly USD725 million: Apple 

Apple released a report saying that Apple actively gave back to the community that it considers its home during this year. The employee donation and volunteer program have raised nearly $725 million in donations in the past ten years. 

Apple supports local charity organizations all over the world through the Employee Giving program, corporate donation, and subsidy programs. These organizations are committed to empowering students, providing consultations for people in crisis, and providing food to families around the world.

Every hour of volunteer service Apple employees or every dollar donated, Apple will convert their contributions into equivalent funds and donate them to the same organization.

In the United States and around the world, Apple and its employees are actively looking for new ways to give back to the communities they see as their home.

This year, Apple’s Employee Giving program was conducted on its tenth anniversary. The program has so far raised nearly $725 million in donations for 39,000 organizations around the world.

In 2021 alone, more than 120 million U.S. dollars were distributed to organizations around the world. The funds raised through the Apple Employee Giving program include the equivalent of 68,000 employees who have spent more than 2 million hours of voluntary service.

In addition to the contributions of the Employee Giving program, Apple’s community investment team also donates millions of dollars to non-profit organizations around the world such as the World Central Kitchen, Martin Luther King Center, China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation, etc.

Apple also donates millions of dollars each year through the Strengthen Local Communities (SLC) grant program, which aims to provide financial support to local organizations in the communities where Apple team members live and work.
