How to reset HomePod Mini without iPhone?

Apple’s HomePod Mini is an excellent smart home device that provides an immersive music listening experience, smart assistant, and smart home functions.

If you experience a problem with your device or send it in for repair, or you want to give your device to someone else, there are several ways to reset HomePod Mini. One of the easiest ways to reset it is through the iPhone.

But what if you don’t have an iPhone or can find it when you need it? Well, you can reset HomePod Mini without any other equipment or using the speaker directly.

Reset HomePod Mini without iPhone

Before proceeding, please note that if you have set the stereo mode on the HomePod Mini, you will need to ungroup them in Apple’s Home app before you can reset the device.

  1. Unplug the power adapter from the ‌HomePod Mini‌ and wait for about 10 seconds, then plug it back in.
  2. After that, wait another 10 seconds and then press the touch surface on the top of the ‌HomePod Mini‌ and hold it there.
  3. The white spinning light will turn red. Keep your finger down.
  4. You will now be notified through Siri that your HomePod Mini is about to reset. When you hear three beeps, lift your finger from the touch surface.

At last! Your HomePod Mini speaker has now been reset, and you can give it to anyone without worrying about sharing your data.
