Apple added an optional 10 Gb Ethernet interface to the old M1 Mac mini

On April 20, Apple released a series of new products, including iMac with M1 chip, but after the press conference ended, some netizens discovered that another Mac had been quietly upgraded.

Apple has added an optional 10 Gb Ethernet interface to the old M1 Mac mini. This type of interface was previously only available in the Intel version of the Mac mini.

When you open the App Store and purchase the M1 Mac mini, you will find the option of a 10 Gb Ethernet interface. It is obvious that the 10 Gb Ethernet interface is faster than the traditional Gigabit Ethernet interface.

In contrast, if you want to upgrade the 10 Gigabit Ethernet port, you need to pay an extra $100, and the starting price of the Mac mini is $699.

The 10 Gigabit network card actually appeared in Apple’s internal authorized service provider system shortly after Apple launched the M1 Mac mini in November last year, but at that time Apple didn’t seem to be ready to announce it.
