As we are seeing that the phone manufacturers are currently rolling out Android 11 to their eligible devices, preparations for the next version have also begun. As we have been getting a bunch of new leaks regarding the upcoming Android 12 OS and also got its first look through the leaked user interface.

Google announced the Android 11 operating system in September 2020. Soon after, OEM’s began to test their custom appearance based on this latest version. Top flagship stores have the opportunity to test the latest changes and features of Android 11.

Similarly, Oppo also launched the ColorOS 11 beta program based on Android 11 for its qualified devices. This upgrade is currently available for several Oppo smartphones including Oppo Find X2 and Find X2 Pro. The company also confirmed that it will soon be released for 25 other devices including Reno4 and Reno3.

What about the ColorOS 12 version (Android 12)?

Users are still waiting for ColorOS 11 to hit their smartphones, and we have introduced ColorOS12 in the upcoming version. While the actual features of this version are still unknown but we know that the companies roll out the new features that come with Google’s latest Android version after making changes as per their custom skins.

Based on this fact, we can assume that the features of the upcoming ColorOS 12 will be based on Android 12, so we have some understanding of the features of ColorOS 12.

When will the ColorOS 12 be released?

After the upcoming Android 12 upgrade is released, Oppo will also start the Beta program of ColorOS 12, and this version will be used as usual for the company’s top flagship models for Beta testing and then will be released for the other eligible devices.

Since Android 11 was released in September 2020, we expect the upcoming Android version to be released at the same time this year. Soon, the Chinese mobile phone manufacturer will also launch the ColorOS 12 beta program, and then this version will gradually expand to other Oppo devices until 2022.

What will be the features of Oppo ColorOS 12?

Since the upcoming ColorOS will be based on Android 12, we can assume that the features of Google’s upcoming operating system will become part of ColorOS 12. According to previous leaks, Android 12 will have a brand new look and be in the previous generation.
