Apple iPhone 13 will have four models with Pro version screen and will be upgraded to 120Hz

Although the iPhone 13 has a long time to be released, there has never been a shortage of news about the iPhone 13 in the past. According to the latest announcement from Korean media ETNews, the iPhone 13 series will have four models, continuing the existing layout of the iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Pro, and iPhone 13 Pro Max. The Pro version screen will be upgraded significantly.

It is reported that both the iPhone 13 mini and iPhone 13 use traditional LTPS OLED, and the refresh rate is maintained at 60Hz. The iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max will be upgraded to the new LTPO OLED, and the refresh rate is also up to 120Hz. As for the screen size, it is still the current four layouts of 5.1, 6.1, 6.1, and 6.7 inches.

LTPS is currently the most mature OLED backplane technology, but power consumption will increase significantly at high refresh rates.

LTPO is a new type of OLED backplane technology, which combines the advantages of LTPS and IGZO technologies, adds an oxide layer, can achieve higher charge mobility at a lower cost, and the refresh rate can be between 1-120Hz according to the display content. Switch between, thereby greatly reducing power consumption.
