The latest Windows 10 update KB4592438 will crash the SSD when running ChkDsk: Report

According to the latest news, it is reported that some Windows 10 v.2004 users had problems with their SSDs after installing the cumulative update KB4592438.

The update was released on December 8. At present, only 2 known issues have been officially given, none of which are described. The problem is that when users run the chkdsk c: /f (disk check and repair the wrong DOS command on the disk) command, their computer will display a blue screen of NTFS file system stop error and cannot start.

Execute ChkDsk in the pre-boot environment, and found some errors in the main file table, but luckily it can be repaired, also through the chkdsk c:/f command.

It is not known how common this error is, but many users have confirmed that it is affected. Therefore, It is recommended that users should postpone the installation of KB4592438 until Microsoft provides a fix.
