Samsung brings AI side button to Galaxy A Series with One UI 7

Samsung

Samsung is bringing a cool upgrade to Galaxy A-series phones! From May 2025, you can press and hold the side button on certain models to launch Google’s Gemini AI. This handy feature, already a hit on Galaxy S-series devices, lets you quickly ask for directions, get answers, or handle daily tasks with ease. It’s Samsung’s way of making AI simple for more users.

The update arrives with One UI 7, built on Android 15. It comes with a cleaner design, smoother transitions, and updated icons. You’ll love the Now Bar, which displays live info like weather or notifications on your lock screen. Plus, Writing Assist helps polish your texts, making your phone feel smarter and more user-friendly.

Models like the Galaxy A56 5G, A36 5G, and A26 5G will get the AI side button first. Older devices, such as the A55 or A35, might join later if their hardware supports it. The rollout kicks off in South Korea, with other regions following soon.

To grab the update, head to Settings, select Software Update, and tap Download and Install. Connect to Wi-Fi, as it’s a large file! This update shows Samsung’s commitment to sharing awesome AI tools with everyone, not just premium phone owners. Excited? Chat about it with other tech lovers online!
