New Galaxy AI feature helps you reply on WhatsApp
The latest update to Samsung’s software, One UI 7.0, is a big step forward. It’s not just about looking good or running fast; it’s also packed with new Galaxy AI features, particularly on the Galaxy S25 phones. One exciting addition is the ability to suggest replies for your WhatsApp messages.
Galaxy AI Can Suggest Replies for WhatsApp
Samsung didn’t talk about every new feature when they introduced the Galaxy S25, but one cool thing they’ve added is called “Suggested Replies.” This feature is part of the One UI 7.0 update.
With Suggested Replies, your phone uses smart AI technology to come up with quick answers when you’re chatting on WhatsApp or other messaging apps using the Samsung Keyboard. This option isn’t on by default, but you can switch it on by going to your settings, then to “Advanced features,” next to “Labs,” and finally to “Suggested replies” where you can toggle it on.
How It Works
When you’re in a chat, little suggestion bubbles pop up right above your keyboard. You can swipe through these options and choose one if it fits what you want to say. Once you pick one, it appears in the message box, but you can still edit it before sending, giving you control over your conversation.
This feature might not work with every app out there. It depends on whether the app developers allow their app to share conversation data with the phone’s AI system. It’s not known if Google’s or Samsung’s AI is handling this data, but rest assured, all processing happens on your phone and doesn’t go online.
Better Than Before
This new Suggested Replies feature is an upgrade from the one in previous versions like One UI 6.1.1. The old one worked with notifications, but this new one actually looks at the messages you’re writing, giving more accurate suggestions.
Additionally, with One UI 7.0, you can also use Galaxy AI’s “Writing Assist” feature with any keyboard or app, not just Samsung’s. It helps you write better by suggesting improvements in language and tone.
This update really makes your phone smarter and your conversations easier, all while keeping your data private.
