Samsung Galaxy A06 5G coming soon to India: Leaked Details
Samsung introduced the Galaxy A06 in India back in September 2024. While the phone was well-received for its features, it missed out on one key aspect – 5G support. Now, after facing criticism, Samsung seems ready to fix this by launching the Galaxy A06 5G.
A tech leaker, @Sudhanshu1414, shared on social media that the Galaxy A06 5G is set to hit the Indian market soon. Here’s what we know about the upcoming phone:
- Screen: A 6.7-inch LCD screen with HD+ quality and a 90Hz refresh rate for smooth visuals.
- Cameras: A 50MP main camera with autofocus and a 2MP depth camera at the back. The front sports an 8MP camera for selfies.
- Processor: Powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300, promising better performance.
- Memory: Options include 4GB RAM with 64GB storage, 4GB RAM with 128GB storage, or 6GB RAM with 128GB storage. You can expand storage up to 1.5TB with a microSD card.
- Software: Runs on Android 15 with One UI 7.0, offering 4 OS updates and 4 years of security updates.
- Battery: A hefty 5,000mAh battery with 25W fast charging.
- Connectivity: Now includes 5G, alongside Wi-Fi 5.
- Security: Features a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
- Sound: Has a single speaker enhanced by Dolby Atmos.
- Durability: Rated IP54 for resistance against water and dust.
- Size: Measures 163.3 x 77.3 x 8.0mm and weighs 191 grams.
- Colors: Available in Blue Black, Light Gray, and Light Green.
The main upgrades from the original Galaxy A06 are the new processor and extended software support. While the original model used the MediaTek Helio G85 with only two OS updates and two years of security patches, the 5G version will provide four of each. Although the exact launch date and price are still under wraps, we expect more details to emerge soon. Keep an eye out for the Galaxy F06 too, which will be exclusive to Flipkart.
