Samsung America and Samsung Semiconductor have decided to give $1 million worth of products to aid those hit by the wildfires in Los Angeles, USA. They’re teaming up with groups like Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles, Team Rubicon, and the LA Unified School District Education Foundation to offer quick help and support recovery over time.
Samsung’s help comes in three key ways:
Home Appliances for Recovery
- Samsung will give home appliances to Habitat for Humanity. This will help families, especially those without enough insurance, to move back into their homes. These appliances will play a big part in helping people start over after losing so much.
Helping with School
- Samsung is working with the LAUSD Education Foundation to provide computers, tablets, and other educational tools. This support will ensure that more than half a million students can keep learning, even if the fires have disrupted their lives.
Supporting Emergency Teams
- They are also helping Team Rubicon, which is made up of former military members who assist in disaster situations. Samsung will supply communication tools so that Team Rubicon can better organize with local officials and volunteers.
Through this $1 million donation, Samsung is showing they care about helping the Los Angeles community get back on its feet. This act of kindness not only aids immediate recovery but also supports long-term rebuilding efforts in the area.
