Google, in a new post on the Chromium Blog, has just announced performance improvements to its Chrome browser, aiming to boost speed on both Android devices and macOS.
According to the announcement, Chrome is 30% faster on high-end Android devices. Google doesn’t go too deep in its explanation and does not share which device was used to perform the benchmark test.
“For capable devices, these versions of Chrome run the Speedometer 2.1 benchmark 30% faster.”

Meanwhile, the macOS version of Chrome has resulted in a 10% increase in performance “over the course of three months.”
The Chrome for macOS, the team has optimized “several JavaScript functions, such as toString() and join(), that are used in many sites and web frameworks.”
