OPPO released ColorOS 13 based on Android 13 globally

OPPO released ColorOS 13 based on Android 13 globally and the Chinese conference is scheduled for August 30. ColorOS 13 features a new Aquamorphic design that delivers smooth, vibrant, and inclusive UI and animations inspired by the way water moves in nature.

ColorOS 13 includes a new system theme palette based on light color changes between sunrise and sunset at sea level, updated fonts for better readability, and a clear and visually friendly order A card-style layout that displays information.

ColorOS 13 also brings new animations to the desktop for softer, more natural, and more realistic interactions. It’s powered by the updated Quantum Animation Engine, which provides precise feedback when interacting with the UI.

Additionally, ColorOS 13 includes a new Shadow-Reflective Clock widget that accurately displays the passage of time, a dedicated IoT device control module, and new Control Center media playback controls.

ColorOS 13 also brings new features that enhance the multitasking experience, including multi-screen support for OPPO Pad Air, a new meeting assistant that ensures users have a stable network connection and reduces distractions during meetings, and supports new sidebar shortcuts way of taking meeting minutes.

The desktop of ColorOS 13 welcomes several new features that allow users to quickly access the information they need, including a global search banner, large folders, and new home screen widgets.

ColorOS 13 also brings new privacy and security features to the desktop, including auto-coding capabilities that can recognize and blur profile photos and names in chat screenshots. ColorOS’s Private Safe feature has also been improved to encrypt data using AES.

OPPO now promises a new software upgrade support period:

  • Flagship Find X-series devices will receive three major Android OS upgrades and four years of regular security patches.

  • OPPO Reno, F, and K series devices will get two major Android OS upgrades and three years of security updates.

  • The OPPO A series will get one major Android OS upgrade and three years of security updates.

The following is the date of upgrading ColorOS 13 for overseas versions of OPPO mobile phones. Find X5 / X5 Pro will be the first to upgrade this month. This timetable does not apply to Chinese OPPO products.
