Try to discover your iPhone with Find My

The moment you find out that your iPhone is missing, try to find it using Find My. This will help to locate your iPhone before anyone else. Or if it is already with someone, then you will be able to see where your iPhone is headed.

You can use Find Me by signing into iCloud on the web, or you can use Find Me on another Apple device like an iPad or MacBook, which you own.

Erase your iPhone remotely

If you are unable to find your iPhone at a certain time, you can find it with the help of Find My, you will need to erase it remotely. Because once you erase your iPhone, then all your information and data will be deleted.

The only condition to use this feature is your iPhone must be running on iOS 15 or later. if your iPhone is running on iOS 14 or earlier, you will be restricted to use this feature on your iPhone.

Here’s how to do it:

  • Open the Find My app on your Apple device
  • Click on Devices
  • Press your missing iPhone
  • Tap Erase this iPhone

Mark your iPhone as lost

Marking your iPhone as lost can do many things. It locks your iPhone with your Password, which prevents anyone’s unnecessary access. This feature disables Apple Pay, which restricts thieves from being able to use or purchase anything. Despite, the fact they somehow guessed the passcode right.

  • Open the Find My app on your Apple device
  • Click on Devices
  • Tap your missing iPhone
  • Find and press Mark As Lost

If you have an AppleCare + plan that is occupied with feature Theft and Loss, you can easily claim to replace your iPhone with Apple. You just need to visit Apple’s iPhone Theft and Loss claims page. But you need to make sure you have marked the smartphone as lost before claiming.
