In addition, BOE will provide foldable OLED panels for the notebook. Kolon and SKC will supply their films to BOE, which will start producing the panels in the second quarter.

The report pointed out that the Zenbook 17 Fold OLED is expected to be available in the middle of the year, and Asus currently plans to produce about 10,000 units.

The notebook will feature a 17.3-inch foldable panel that can be folded down to 12.5 inches. The screen resolutions are 2560×1920 and 1920×1280, respectively.

As a major ASUS supplier, Kolon is expected to supply more films than SKC. In addition, when Lenovo launched the foldable notebook Thinkpad X1 Fold at the end of 2020, Kolon also provided it with the film.
