SMIC’s basic earnings per share were 1.36 yuan, compared with 0.67 yuan in the same period last year, a year-on-year increase of 103.0%. The gross profit margin was 29.3%, compared to 23.8% in the same period last year, an increase of 5.5 percentage points year on year.
