SMIC donated 10 million yuan to support Shanghai’s epidemic prevention

According to the latest report, SMIC announced that in order to support Shanghai’s epidemic prevention and anti-epidemic work, the company’s board of directors decided to donate 10 million yuan to Shanghai.

The Shanghai Municipal Health Commission announced, that Shanghai added 311 local confirmed cases of new coronary pneumonia and 16,766 local asymptomatic infections. At present, the Shanghai epidemic is in a critical period of racing against time and the virus.

On the evening of March 30, SMIC disclosed its 2021 annual report, showing that the annual operating income for the year was 35.631 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 29.7%; the net profit attributable to shareholders of listed companies exceeded 10 billion yuan, reaching 10.733 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 147.7%.

Moreover, net profit after deduction of non-deductible was 5.325 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 213.8%. SMIC’s basic earnings per share were 1.36 yuan, compared with 0.67 yuan in the same period last year, a year-on-year increase of 103.0%. The gross profit margin was 29.3%, compared to 23.8% in the same period last year, an increase of 5.5 percentage points year on year.
