Google is partnering with Unagi on a new program called “Ride Scoot,” in which most of Google’s U.S. employees can order Unagi’s sleek Model One scooters every month for full reimbursement.

Moreover, the Model One, which normally costs $990, is a lightweight dual-motor scooter with a top speed of 20 miles per hour and a cruising range of 15.5 miles.

David Heyman, founder, and CEO of Unagi said the idea is primarily to help Google employees get to work. Because Google provides employees with free shuttles in Silicon Valley, it’s also important to solve this last mile for them.

“They understand that employees have concerns,” Heyman said. “People are used to working from home. They’re just doing everything they can to improve the work experience back in the office.
