Moreover, Renesas Electronics pointed out that the Naka and Takasaki plants confirmed that there were no casualties and that production has been temporarily suspended. Although there was a brief outage, power has been restored and utilities are partially back up and running.

Renesas Electronics will conduct a safety assessment of the cleanroom starting this morning, and once the safety of the cleanroom is confirmed, it will investigate the possible impact on equipment and products.

An employee at the Yonezawa plant, which stopped production immediately after the quake, resumed production on some test lines at 8 a.m. today, with a minor injury.

At the same time, Renesas began to investigate the safety and possible impact of equipment and products in the cleanroom at the Yonezawa plant. In addition, Renesas Electronics said the company is evaluating the impact of the earthquake on our entire supply chain.
