The COVID-19 vaccination plan for people over 18 years old in India will start on May 1. The CoWIN website is the official website for registration and booking of coronavirus vaccination. Due to the surge in newly emerging COVID-19 cases in India, the government has raised the eligibility criteria to cover the majority of India’s population.
Moreover, people can register on the CoWIN platform by going to the website or using the Aarogya Setu app, the appointment slots for 18+ is not available in many regions or are booked for the next few weeks already. As such it can get a bit exhausting to check the availability of slots every day and sometimes being too late to book one.
However, using Google Sheets will send an email alert to users whenever the COVID-19 vaccine is available.
STEPS:
- Make a copy of the Vaccine tracker Google Sheet from here
- Click the Vaccine Tracker option (beside Help option) and tap Enable
- Authorize the app through your Google account
- Click Enable on the Vaccine Tracker option again
- An alert box will be displayed
- Enter Pin Code, email ID, age group, and the frequency of checking vaccine availability.
- Click on Create Email Alert and you will be notified whenever the vaccine slots open up in your place.
