Apple released iOS 14.5/iPadOS 14.5 RC candidate preview

Apple held a spring new product launch and released the iOS 14.5/iPadOS 14.5 RC candidate preview. At the same time, Apple put forward new submission requirements to developers.

Starting from April 26, all newly submitted iOS/iPadOS apps must be built with Xcode 12 and iOS 14 SDK. iOS 14 SDK has new functions such as App Clips small programs, home screen widgets, ARKit, and RealityKit.

At the same time, all newly submitted Apple Watch app must be built with Xcode 12 and watchOS 7 SDK. WatchOS 7 SDK has new designs such as ClockKit API, SwiftUI, Xcode preview, and so on.

Moreover, Apple also requires developers to provide a statement for any other form of tracking for example, by name or email address in the “App Store Privacy Information” section of the product page from April 26.

At the same time, this tracking will only be carried out with permission through AppTrackingTransparency.

According to the guidelines of the app store audit guidelines, developers also need to include a purpose string in the system prompt to explain why the app needs to track users.
