Amazon spent 11 billion US dollars creating video and music content in year 2020

Amazon invested $11 billion in the production of streaming video and music content last year, again showing that the company is willing to invest heavily in providing entertainment content for Prime members.

According to the latest information, the US$11 billion in content spending increased by 41% from the US$7.8 billion in 2019. Amazon is attracting customers’ attention in the streaming services of many rivals such as Netflix, Apple, and Disney.

In the past few years, Amazon has built a strong library of original and licensed video, music, and podcast content, including content acquired through the acquisition of podcast startup Wonderry in December last year.
