Sony launched Xperia PRO in the US market, priced at 2499 US dollars

Since its release in February last year, the Sony Xperia PRO mobile phone has been impressive with its high cost. Now, Sony finally released Xperia PRO in the United State market, valued at 2499 US dollars (about 16,000 yuan).

Sony’s mobile phone is not mainly facing the mass consumer market, but aimed at the professional photographer/videographer market. As per the news, Sony is trying to justify the price through certain features that may attract professional content producers.

Xperia PRO is Sony’s first 5G mobile phone in the US market, and it will support 5G mmWave and Sub-6GHz. Although the former Xperia 1 II supports 5G in markets such as Europe and Asia, it lacks 5G in the US. Xperia PRO also has a mini HDMI, so you can connect your phone to a camera/camcorder.

Subsequently, any material shot by the camera can be transmitted or uploaded to the radio station in real-time through the 5G modem of Xperia PRO. Videos can also be transferred via USB-C to automatically upload to the FTP server.

Other features that may appeal to professionals include a pre-built external monitor application that can connect Xperia PRO to Sony Alpha cameras and use a 4K 6.5-inch 4K OLED display to control various settings.

Additionally, Sony Xperia PRO uses a 360-degree antenna design, no matter how the user holds the phone, the design can maximize the mobile signal. This phone also has dedicated shortcut keys that can instantly start designated applications, including the Network Visualizer application, to check signal strength, data speed, etc. in detail.

On the other side, Sony Xperia Pro is equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 mobile platform, and the front is furnished with a 21:9 6.5-inch 4K HDR OLED screen and a built-in 4000mAh battery.

This device uses the same four-camera combination as the Sony Xperia 1 II, namely a 12-megapixel main camera, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, a 12-megapixel telephoto camera, and a TOF lens.

This phone can already be booked on the US e-commerce platform. It is worth mentioning that Sony announced that Xperia Pro will not enter the European market in the future.
