MediaTek will officially release a new generation of flagship processors on January 20

According to the news, MediaTek will officially release a new generation of flagship processors on January 20.  According to the currently known reports, MediaTek will launch the Density 1200 series processor based on the 6nm process, not the 5nm process commonly used by Qualcomm and Apple’s high-end processors.

But we do not have too much regret, broke the news this morning, well-known people chatting on Digital Station revealed, 5 nm of DNT core flagship 2000 series is expected to be shipping in volume production later this year, it has already received orders for a number of Chinese mobile phone producers, next year Products equipped with this chip will come out in the first half of the year.

It is worth noting that due to the late release of Dimensity 2000, it is supposed that new architectures such as X2, A79, and G79 will be adopted, which can bring more powerful performance in terms of performance and battery life.

As per the report, MediaTek has now booked TSMC a monthly 5nm process capacity of at least 20,000 pieces to build Dimensity 2000 series flagship processors.

Judging from the deployment of MediaTek, they will use the Density 2000 series against Qualcomm’s flagship processor to impact the high-end market.

As for the new products on January 20, there are currently known Dimensity 1200 and down-conversion Dimensity 1100 chips, both of which are built with 6nm process and use ARM’s latest Cortex A78 architecture, consisting of four Cortex A78 + four Cortex It is composed of A55 and the GPU is Mali-G77, which surpassed Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 865 last year.

The Density 1100, as the frequency version, still uses the octa-core architecture of 4*A78+4*A55, but the main frequency is reduced to 2.6GHz±, the GPU is not overclocked, and the APU is slightly inferior.

It supports UFS 3.1 and LPDDR4x storage specifications. It can adapt to the screen including the highest FHD+144Hz refresh rate.

Judging from the current leaked news, the Density 1200 series will be launched by the Redmi K40 series that will officially declare the launch time of the series after the MediaTek conference.
