FAW Toyota launched its first A+-class sedan, ALLION (Aolan). The new car is positioned between Corolla and Asia Dragon and is based on the TNGA architecture.

Recently, FAW Toyota ALLION formally declared in the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology that means that the launch of the new car has been put on the agenda.

It is worth mentioning that this car is also Toyota’s first A+ class sedan launched in China, and it is a sister model with GAC Toyota Lingshang. Judging from the declaration picture, the front face of the new car is somewhat similar to the Asian Dragon.

The front air intake grille has a larger area and forms an integrated design with the heat dissipation opening on the front enclosure. It is furnished with headlights connected by penetrating chrome bars on both sides. The group gave the new car a stable momentum as a whole.

ALLION also borrows the design of the Asian dragon, adding ALLION letters in the middle of the trim. In terms of body size, ALLION has a length, width, and height of 4720/1780/1435 (mm) and a wheelbase of 2750mm, which fully surpasses Corolla.

It is supposed that the large space will be more favored by the Chinese user. From the configuration point of view, the new car has 16-inch, 17-inch, and 18-inch wheels in three different sizes.

Additionally, the new car is also furnished with sunroofs, front and rear cameras, rain-sensing wipers, electroplated door handles, and other conventional configurations.

By looking at power, the new cars are furnished with Toyota’s 2.0L naturally aspirated engine codenamed M20E and M20A, with a maximum power of 178 horsepower and a peak torque of 210 Nm. The matching is a CVT gearbox.

As per the report, FAW Toyota ALLION will be officially released in the first quarter of 2021. With the launch of the ALLION model, GAC Toyota Lingshang will also arrive, and it is supposed to be officially launched in the first half of 2021.

Currently, Volkswagen and Honda have launched custom-made extended special vehicles for the Chinese market such as Sagitar and Lingpai in China.

Toyota is still in a blank in this field. The launch of ALLION just fills this gap and will help Toyota in China in the future. Market performance.
