Huawei today released the Pro version of the Puffin Smart Camera, which will be officially launched on January 5. This camera will be equipped with HarmonyOS for the first time, built-in 32GB/64GB eMMC storage, support 2K resolution video, equipped with distributed smart eyes, AI smart detection, and other functions.
The Puffin Smart Camera Pro uses a 3-megapixel super-sensitive CMOS with a large F1.6 aperture. At the same time, the image processor uses Huawei HiSilicon’s self-developed chips to ensure transparent and natural image quality. Officials said that the video uses a new generation of H.265 video coding, which is more efficient.
The camera supports WDR intelligent dimming function, which can automatically increase the dynamic range and show more details. At the same time, intelligent PQ face technology can improve portrait performance in a backlight environment.
In terms of functions, this camera supports AI humanoid detection, crying detection, motion tracking, and other functions. It can automatically push messages and classify and mark faces and scenes.
In addition, it also supports the distributed multi-camera call function, which can directly call the screen of the smart camera during a mobile phone video call, which is convenient for environmental display; the multi-channel same-screen function can present the screen of multiple cameras on the mobile phone at once.
HUAWEI Puffin Smart Camera Pro comes with a 3 meter extended power cord, which supports three installation modes: flat, wall, and ceiling. The pan/tilt supports 360° horizontal rotation and 150° vertical adjustment. Among them, the 64GB version supports 360° infinite rotation, no need to return. Regarding accessories, the camera comes standard with yellow decorative ears, and other styles of ear accessories need to be purchased separately.
Huawei’s Puffin Smart Camera Pro has a model of GD01 for the 32GB version and GD02 for the 64GB version. The 32GB version is currently available for pre-sale in the official flagship store of Jingdong Huawei, with a price of 289 yuan.
