Intel Z590 Platform Logo Exposure Core i9-11900K CPU-Z running points announced

In order to start a new decade, Intel is actively planning to launch Rocket Lake processors and 500 series motherboards. Recently, VideoCardz not only shared the logo of the Intel Z590/B560/H510 chipset but also exposed the CPU-Z running screenshots of the flagship Core i9-11900K processor. According to Chiphell’s screenshots, its single-core benchmark has exceeded 700 points, and its multi-threaded performance has reached 7198 points.

If the news is reliable, then Intel is obviously expected to regain the title of the strongest single-core x86 processor from AMD Zen 3 Ryzen with its flagship product Core i9-11900K.

In terms of specifications, Rocket Lake-S supports up to 8 cores/16 threads. Although the 14nm process of toothpaste is still being squeezed, at least the nuclear display part can bring up to 50% performance improvement.

Unlike the previous generations, Rocket Lake uses the Cypress Cove architecture from Sunny Cove upgraders. The leaked benchmark test shows that it can reach a high frequency of 5.0GHz.

Although it can be regarded as back transplantation from 10nm (non-SuperFin) to 14nm, in essence, it also introduces Xe (Gen12) nuclear display and supports PCIe 4.0.

To facilitate comparison, a tipster @harukaze5719 specially compiled this chart, which shows that the Core i9-11900K is not afraid of the challenge of AMD Zen 3 Ryzen competing products in terms of single-core performance.

In terms of chipset, Rocket Lake S supports 20 PCIe 4.0 channels from CPU (4 more than the previous generation). Supplemented by deep learning acceleration and VNNI support, it has certain benefits to AI-related workflows.

Gen12 Xe Graphics provides support for advanced video encoders (4:4:4 HEVC and VP9), which can drive three 4K 60Hz displays.

Finally, the 11th generation Core processor integrates a DDR4-3200 memory controller, and the 500 series motherboard can support 20Gbps USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 connections.
