Adobe’s Flash Player has reached the end of life but domestic version continues to support

Adobe’s Flash Player has reached the end of life. As early as 2017, Adobe announced that today (January 1st) officially ended support, starting from January 12th to stop updating and maintenance support. Adobe strongly recommends that all users uninstall Flash Player immediately to avoid subsequent vulnerability attacks.

Adobe previously announced plans to stop updating and distributing Adobe Flash Player globally by the end of 2020. However, Adobe has previously expanded its partnership with the Internet company Chongqing Zhongcheng Network Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Zhongcheng).

Adobe’s global strategic partner in the game field and the official distribution partner of Adobe Flash Player in Mainland China. Adobe will continue to support the exclusive distribution and maintenance of Flash Player in Mainland China only after 2020, so as to support the unique distribution channels, user habits, and a wide range of developers, enterprises, and game communities in the region. For details, please refer to Mainland China’s regional policies.

Adobe will continue to work closely with Chong Orange to provide the latest and safest version of Adobe Flash Player throughout mainland China.

On January 12, 2021, Flash Player will undergo a version update. Due to technical support, this and subsequent updated versions of Flash Player no longer support the playback function of video format content under Windows 7 (excluding Windows 7), Linux, and Mac operating systems, and other original functions can be used normally.
