Android and Apple iOS version of Word app update to improve title navigation experience

In order to improve the document navigation experience for mobile device users, Microsoft has just introduced a feature update called “header navigation” for the Android/iOS version of the Word word processing application. With this update, you will be able to browse documents in a brand new way and find the paragraphs where headings, text, tables, graphics, and other elements are more easily.

Secondly, Microsoft is also experimenting with a new feature called “auto-detected headings” (auto-detected headings). If the current document does not have a title, Word can also use artificial intelligence (AI)/machine learning (ML) technology to automatically detect potential titles.

Of course, AI may take some time to learn different ways of writing documents. Or you can create the title manually in Word Mobile. Users who need it can first open the “Home” tab and then click the “Style” library, then the text can be set with a custom title style.

After the operation is completed, you can see such a Word document under the title or navigation pane, of course, provided that you have updated to Android 13530.10000 or iOS 2.43 and above.

For desktop users, Microsoft is also preparing for other feature updates, such as native support for dark mode and the introduction of grammar assistant.

In addition, the Microsoft Office productivity suite will be more deeply integrated with the Microsoft Launcher to improve the application group function and the spacing and consistency of drawer application icons.

Finally, there is an interesting feature called “keyword search”, but it is not yet clear whether it applies to Office widgets or only within Office applications.
