Tesla’s new Boombox feature will let car owners can customize the horn sound and more

Tesla added the Boombox function to the 2020.48.26 version of the system update launched on Christmas. This function allows car owners to customize the sound of car horns, with built-in audio such as farting, imitating goat calls, and trumpets.

At the same time, the audio will continue to be played during the driving of the electric car, and a variety of different types of music will be built in, including rock music and so on.

The Boombox function allows users to upload up to 5 custom audios via a USB flash drive. However, its built-in music is also interesting enough, with a vocal simulation of “tada” sound, shouting. The Boombox mode allows the user to alternately play audio with the speakers inside and outside the car to play unexpected sounds to passers-by.

According to the regulations implemented in September 2019 in the United States, because the noise of electric vehicles is very small when driving, in order to ensure the safety of pedestrians, manufacturers need to add speakers outside the vehicle to play specific sounds to remind pedestrians.

This update of Tesla is also able to freely choose the music that continues to be played during driving, including rain forest sound, cheerful music, Caribbean style, and so on.
