Samsung Galaxy S26: Exynos in Europe, Snapdragon elsewhere?

S25 Ultra

Samsung might bring back Exynos chips in their Galaxy S26 series, but there’s a twist. According to rumors, the Galaxy S26 with Exynos 2600 might only be sold in Europe, while the rest of the world gets the Snapdragon chipset.

This decision is likely due to production constraints on the 2nm process. It’s unclear if this split will apply to all three Galaxy S26 models or just some. Previous rumors suggested that the Galaxy S26 Ultra might use Snapdragon chips worldwide, like the Galaxy S24 Ultra.

This isn’t the first time Samsung has done something like this. In the Galaxy S22 series, European models used Exynos 2200, while other regions got the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. Customers have expressed dissatisfaction with this split in the past, but Samsung seems to be going ahead with it anyway.

If true, European customers might not be thrilled about being limited to Exynos-powered Galaxy S26 units. Meanwhile, the rest of the world would get Snapdragon-powered units. We’ll have to wait and see how Samsung decides to manage this chip split and how customers react to it.
