Galaxy S22 running One UI 7 is missing some AI features

Samsung is testing the Android 15-based One UI 7 update for the Galaxy S22 series. However, it looks like not all features will be available on these older phones. A test build of One UI 7 running on the Galaxy S22 Ultra was spotted recently, and it seems some Galaxy AI tools are missing.
Right now, the Galaxy S22, S22+, and S22 Ultra don’t support major Galaxy AI features like Circle to Search or Live Translate, which are available on newer models like the Galaxy S24. The test firmware is still early, so there’s a chance Samsung might add some of these tools later, but it’s not confirmed yet.
It’s worth noting that Samsung had earlier said Galaxy AI would work best on the Galaxy S24 series and newer. Even the Galaxy S23 didn’t get all its features at launch. So, it may not be surprising if the Galaxy S22 series misses out on some of the AI upgrades.
Samsung usually releases new One UI versions in the second half of the year. If the tests go well, we can expect One UI 7 to start rolling out with Android 15 sometime later this year.
For now, Galaxy S22 users will have to wait and see which features they get with the final update.
