New One UI 7 beta brings music player to live alerts on Foldable phones

Samsung recently launched an updated One UI 7 Beta for its foldable devices, like the Z Flip 6. This fresh version comes with small but noticeable improvements compared to the One UI 7 Beta on the S24 and the stable One UI 7 on the S25. One exciting change is the addition of the Music Player to Live Alerts.
In this update, the Music Player now pops up in Live Alerts. That means you can see music controls right on the status bar, notification area, and even the lock screen’s Now Bar bubble. It’s a handy way to manage your tunes without unlocking your phone.
Earlier, Samsung took the Music Player out of the Notification Panel in One UI 7, and some users weren’t happy about it. After hearing feedback, the company brought it back in this Beta for foldables. Now, you can turn on the Music Player in the Live Alerts settings. Once activated, it shows up as a small icon in the status bar and can grow into a bigger, easy-to-use bubble with just a tap—kind of like Apple’s Dynamic Island.
This feature isn’t on the Galaxy S24 or S25 yet, but it might arrive soon. Rumors suggest the March 2025 update could bring it to the newest Galaxy flagships. S24 users might see it in the next Beta if it drops before the stable April release.
Adding the Music Player to Live Alerts is a nice touch, but there’s a catch—Now Brief isn’t included. Samsung hinted that Now Brief might only work on the S25 series because it needs the latest processors. For now, foldable phone users can enjoy this music upgrade while others wait to see what’s next.
