Samsung’s new Triple-Fold phone might launch in small numbers

Samsung Tri-Fold

Samsung could soon release its first triple-fold phone, but only in limited amounts. The company is busy creating a unique foldable device that’s different from the upcoming Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7. It might follow a similar path as the Galaxy Z Fold SE, which wasn’t widely available.

According to GalaxyClub, Samsung is building its first Tri-Fold phone with a small rollout in mind. This mystery device, known by the codename Q7M, has two hinges and three folding screens—pretty cool stuff! The regular Z Fold 7, labeled Q7 (SM-F966), is set to arrive as usual. Meanwhile, the Q7M is expected to be the Tri-Fold model. There’s talk that it might carry the model number SM-F968, but that’s not confirmed yet.

Right now, Samsung is testing the SM-F968N version, which hints it could launch only in Korea at first. Still, there’s a chance it might also pop up in China, just like the Z Fold SE (also called W25) did. The Z Fold 7 is likely dropping in July, but the Tri-Fold could show up later this year. Samsung is racing to finish it because Huawei is pushing its triple-fold phone, the Mate XT Ultimate, onto the global stage.

If everything goes smoothly, Samsung might surprise us and release the Tri-Fold sooner than planned. It could even appear at the Galaxy Unpacked event alongside the Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7. At the very least, we might get a sneak peek at an early version of this bendy new phone.
