Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Fold 5 get March 2025 safety update

Samsung

It’s March 2025, and Samsung has just released a new update for Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 5 owners. Right now, it’s reaching users in Korea, but more countries will see it soon. This update brings the March 2025 Android security patch, making your phone safer and steadier. It tackles over 50 problems, ensuring your device runs smoothly and stays protected.

For those with a Galaxy Z Flip 5, the update shows up as One UI version F731NKSS5DYBE. For Fold 5 users, it’s F946NKSS5DYBE. These numbers let you know the update has arrived. Samsung’s latest patch fixes 58 weak spots in older software. Google stepped in to handle 11 super-serious issues and 40 other big ones. One issue was already fixed earlier, and three don’t even apply to Samsung phones.

On top of that, Samsung sorted out 7 of its own security risks, tied to things like Auracast, communication options, the Galaxy Watch Gallery, Wi-Fi, and more. Want to grab the update? It’s easy! Open your phone’s System Settings, scroll to “Software update,” and hit “Download and install.” As for One UI 7, Samsung is testing it on more devices, but the Z Flip 5 and Fold 5 aren’t included yet. The full One UI 7 version will launch in April 2025, bringing fresh features to these foldables after that.
