Samsung’s new Smart Ring can check temperatures easily

Samsung is creating a cool new smart ring that can check the temperature of people and things. This gadget could be a big step forward for wearable tech. The big tech company from Korea recently shared a new idea with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO). They filed a patent showing that the ring has a special tool inside it to measure temperatures.
According to the patent (spotted by 91Mobiles), the ring has a temperature checker on the inside, right against the wearer’s finger. It also has a motion tracker, like an accelerometer, to follow how the finger moves. This helps the ring figure out what it’s checking.
For example, if you move the ring close to another person or an object, the sensor will kick in. The ring is smart enough to know if it’s reading your skin temperature or something else nearby. This clever design stops the ring from mixing your body heat with the heat of other things. It makes sure the temperature reading is spot-on by understanding what it’s measuring—your skin or another surface.
Plus, the ring might let you know if something’s off with the temperature. It could buzz, beep, or flash a light to grab your attention. If the ring doesn’t have a screen, you could see the details on a phone app instead. Right now, the Samsung Galaxy Ring tracks body temperature to guess when menstrual cycles might happen.
But this new version could let users check temperatures whenever they want. It’d be a handy little helper for daily life, giving fast and simple temperature readings for people or objects around you. With this smart ring, Samsung is making tech that’s easy to use and fits right into your day-to-day routine.
