New Samsung Galaxy S25 phones get first easy update in the US

S25 & S25+

AT&T is now providing the first easy update for the Samsung Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra in the US. These new phones come with One UI 7, and this update is all about making your phone experience better. The update includes the latest security fixes from February 2025.

Before AT&T, other big phone companies like Verizon, T-Mobile, and US Cellular had already sent this first update to these new Samsung phones. This February 2025 update fixes one very important security issue and 34 other high-level issues from Google, plus seven specific fixes for One UI from Samsung.

Some people had trouble with photos taken at night, especially with how the sky looked. This update might fix that, along with possibly improving the camera. However, if you’ve been waiting for a fix for the 45W charging issue, you’ll need to wait for the next update.

Here are the build numbers for this update:

  • Galaxy S25: S931USQU1AYB3
  • Galaxy S25+: S931USQU1AYB3
  • Galaxy S25 Ultra: S931USQU1AYB3

The update is still spreading across various US carriers, but if you have an unlocked model, you might not have it yet. We expect everyone to get this update by the end of February. One cool thing about the Galaxy S25 series is it supports Seamless Updates. This means you won’t have to wait long when updating your phone; just a quick restart and you’re good to go. These phones already have One UI 7.0 built-in. There’s no word yet on if older models will get this update, but Samsung will probably clarify this soon, amidst various rumors floating around.
