Accordingly, one can set images in such a manner that they would be visible only to them and not to others. On the flip side, you can even use public profile photos where the picture could be generic and different from the one that is visible to your known contacts.
How to access the Telegram Public Profile Photo feature?
- Open Telegram on your device
- Click on the three-line icon at the top-left corner
- Go to the Settings section
- Select Privacy and Security
Adding any restrictions or exceptions for your profile photo unlocks the option to set a public photo that will be shown to everyone, hiding the main one.
